A Fool since 2014, Amber initially worked in the Editorial and Video Production departments. She has spent the past seven years as a software developer maintaining and enhancing technology for the Marketing Department. In 2018, Amber won The Motley Fool Hall of Fame award for Innovation.
As a techie in the Northern Virginia area, Amber worked with Django Girls putting together events and teaching young women how to code. She also helped run and participated in Alexandria’s Code and Coffee. In 2018, Amber won a DCFemTech Code Award.
Amber graduated from South Dakota State University with a Master’s degree in English. She also graduated with a Master’s degree in Mass Communication and Journalism from Iowa State University where she focused on online communications and community. As part of her thesis, Amber developed an innovative, online literary magazine where she integrated latest technologies into each literary piece.
Amber currently resides in Wisconsin with her husband and daughter.
